CaneLeeStudios Legal, Terms & EULA
1. Provider and agreement
These terms apply to the CaneLeeStudios website, CaneLeeStudios accounts, games, related software, online services, subscriptions and digital content (together, the “Services”). The provider is CaneLee Studios, trading through the CaneLeeStudios brand (“CaneLeeStudios”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, purchasing, downloading, installing, accessing or using a Service, you agree to the terms that apply to that Service. Mandatory rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
2. Customer support and contact
Customer support is provided through written electronic channels only: the Contact Us form on the official CaneLeeStudios website and any official support email address published by CaneLeeStudios. CaneLeeStudios does not offer telephone customer support unless it expressly announces a telephone support service. Do not send passwords, complete payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive information through support messages.
3. Software licence
Subject to these terms, CaneLeeStudios grants the user a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use CaneLeeStudios software and games for their intended private use. The Software is licensed, not sold. CaneLeeStudios and its licensors retain their intellectual-property rights in source and object code, artwork, characters, audio, designs, branding, documentation and other protected content.
Except where applicable law expressly gives a non-waivable right, users may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or commercially exploit protected parts of the Software; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or circumvent technical protections; remove ownership notices; or use the Services to attack, disrupt or obtain unauthorised access to systems or data.
4. Accounts, age and credentials
Offline game functionality may be available without an account. Online accounts are intended for users aged 13 or older. Where a user cannot legally consent alone, CaneLeeStudios can require a verified parent or guardian process before the account becomes active. Account information must be accurate and credentials must not be shared or used to evade account, purchase, security or licensing controls.
5. Premium digital items and subscriptions
Premium items, cosmetics, subscriptions and similar digital benefits are licences or account entitlements; buying them does not transfer ownership of CaneLeeStudios intellectual property. An item may be durable, consumable, time-limited, transferable or non-transferable as described when offered. Subscription benefits can change prospectively where reasonably necessary. Material changes do not remove rights that mandatory law grants for an existing paid period.
6. Payments, cancellation, refunds and returns
Prices, billing interval and the content of a paid offer are shown before checkout. Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. CaneLeeStudios does not store complete card or bank credentials.
Recurring subscriptions can be cancelled using the cancellation method made available with the account or by contacting support. Unless the checkout terms say otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and access continues until the end of the already-paid billing period.
Refunds are considered where required by applicable law and for confirmed duplicate or erroneous charges, and may also be granted at CaneLeeStudios’ discretion. For digital content supplied immediately, statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights can be affected after supply begins where the law permits this and the required consent/acknowledgement has been obtained. Nothing in these terms removes a mandatory consumer remedy.
CaneLeeStudios currently sells digital products and services through these Services, not physical merchandise. A physical-goods return process is therefore not applicable to those digital purchases. If physical goods are offered later, the applicable return policy will be shown before purchase.
7. Community conduct and user content
Users may not harass others, automate or manipulate accounts, commit payment or trading fraud, upload illegal or unsafe material, distribute malware or phishing content, or interfere with the Services. Public profile links and profile images can be subject to automated checks and human moderation. CaneLeeStudios may reject, disable or remove unsafe or rule-breaking content and may suspend or ban accounts for material abuse.
8. Public profile links and images
Approved public profile links may be displayed to other users. Malware, phishing, unsafe/adult destinations, deceptive redirect services and link-hub pages intended to conceal the final destination may be rejected. Uploaded profile images may be cropped, resized or recompressed for service operation and may be removed when they violate applicable rules.
9. Account review and security
Account contents are not open to staff by default. Purpose-specific access is limited, logged and subject to the access controls built into the service. Security, fraud, abuse and legal events can be reviewed by authorised personnel where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Services or legal rights.
10. Privacy
CaneLeeStudios may process account identity, age-eligibility information, legal acceptances, sessions, purchases, premium ownership, friend relationships, profile images, public links, moderation decisions, points/subscription status, privacy settings and security records needed to operate the Services. Complete payment-card or bank credentials remain with the payment provider.
The temporary/fallback GitHub Pages website itself does not provide account login or payment checkout. Messages sent through its Contact Us form are submitted to Formspree for delivery. GitHub may process technical information necessary to host GitHub Pages. Users should not submit unnecessary sensitive information through the contact form.
11. Availability, changes and third parties
The Services may receive patches, updates, new content or feature changes. CaneLeeStudios aims to operate them reliably but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Third-party hosting, email, payment, anti-abuse and other providers remain subject to their own terms and availability.
12. Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. CaneLeeStudios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss where such liability may lawfully be excluded. Nothing excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Termination
A software licence or account access may be suspended or terminated for material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful use or non-payment. Where a licence ends, the user must stop using software for which they no longer have a valid right of use. Provisions concerning intellectual property, accrued payment obligations, disclaimers, liability and applicable law survive where relevant.
14. Governing law and changes
Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these terms are governed by Dutch law and disputes are submitted to a competent court in the Netherlands after reasonable efforts to resolve the matter directly. Material legal changes are versioned and, where required, users will be asked to accept an updated version.
